There will be six 30-minute express classes offered each day with a variety of on-ice & off-ice instruction and classroom engagement. There will be classes on jumps, spins, steps & turns, artistry, power, edgework, musicality, choreography, gliding moves, MIF/skating skills, Pilates, yoga, flexibility, strength training, calisthenics, cardio, off-ice jumps, off-ice spin board, spinner/harness, ballet, dance, coordination, warm-up/cool-down, nutrition, mindset and MORE!

The academy will run for eight weeks on Tuesdays from 1:45-6:00pm on the following dates: June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7 at O’Malley Sports Center and July 14, 21 at Dempsey Anderson. There will be one Saturday June 13th with guest coach Sean Rabbit held at Dimond Center.

The academy will feature an elite set of classes for figure skaters wanting to gain variety in their training. The academy is not daycare/day camp and not for entry level skaters. The minimum level for skaters is passed FS3 (ISI & LTS-USA). Skaters will be grouped according to their current test level and must come prepared to engage and give their best effort in all classes offered. Discounts are available for full AAFS members and skaters who pre-register for all eight academy classes. Drop-ins will only be available as space permits.

BUT WAIT…There is more! We realize that ADULTS SKATE TOO!

We have a special on-ice class just for our adult skaters only from 5:45-6:15pm on the same dates. There will be an option to add-on the academy off-ice classes at 4:35pm and 5:10pm. The minimum level for the adults only classes is passed LTS-USA Adult 5/ISI Delta.

Supplies skaters will need: athletic skating attire (no hoodies or baggy clothing), athletic tennis shoes and socks, skates & hard guards, water bottle, daily snack for break, yoga mat, two yoga blocks, jump rope, and an off-ice spin board (if you have one).
